It was an unusual Halloween celebration at Letourneau university today, where welding met Shakespeare. Engineering met art, in a "Shakespearean" format in the annual "materials joining" open house. Students dressed in "Shakespeare" era clothing while showing how metal-work, such as sword and jewelry making, were done in the 16th century.
There was even a mock sword fight. The event is held each year to show how technology has changed over the centuries.
