UT Tyler softball finishes off sweep of ETBU

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - The ninth ranked UT-Tyler softball team finished off a three game sweep of number five East Texas Baptist University on Wednesday, winning 4 to 3 in nine innings.

The Patriots were down 3 to 2 in the bottom the ninth after Lady Tiger Lacy Liles drilled a solo home run in the top of the frame to give ETBU a one run lead. In the bottom of the frame though, UT Tyler fought back.

Lauren Robenalt re-tied the game at 3 with an RBI single to left, which scored Brittany Perkins . Then, Whitney Burt delivered the game winning single with the bases loaded later in the inning to score Kierin Stevens.

With the 4 to 3 win, the Patriots improve to 20 and 1 on the year and 17 and 1 in American Southwest Conference Play.
