Pedestrian critically injured after being struck by vehicle on busy Longview roadway
LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -
A pedestrian was critically injured after being hit by a truck on a Longview roadway.
Officer Debra Stiles with the Longview Police Department says a bystander who witnessed the accident called 911 at 1:44 p.m. Wednesday. The caller told police that a pedestrian was crossing the right, eastbound lane of Marshall Avenue near Spur 63 when they were struck by a pick-up truck.
A witness to the accident rushed to the pedestrian's aid and began CPR before medical personnel arrived.
The pedestrian, who has not been identified, received critical injuries and was rushed to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview.
Stiles said the driver of the pick-up is not at fault.
