26th annual Beauty and the Beast rolling across Tyler Saturday

This year marks the 26th Annual Beauty and the Beast Bicycle Tour and Freedom Ride in East Texas.

The Beauty and the Beast is annual event that takes cyclist through the rolling hills of East Texas including our famous “Killer Hill” aka “The Beast.” People of all ages come from all over the United States to participate in this event that benefits two worthy causes. This year the proceeds will go to the Wounded Warriors and to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in honor of our own Alaina Cannon, and all those that courageously battle cancer daily.

The tour, which features several mile options ranging from 12.5 miles to 67 miles will begin at 9:00 a.m., as will the 67 mile race. Prize money for the race will be awarded in both male and female categories up to three places. Free hamburgers and hot dogs will be available after the tour.

Onsite registration and packet pick up will be at KE Bushman’s Winery & Celebration Center on Friday, March 21 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. and Saturday beginning at 6:30 a.m. Cost to register is $35.00 per person.

The event is sponsored by the Tyler Bicycle Club and Trinity Mother Frances Hospital and Clinics.
