TYLER, TX (KLTV) - A Tyler police officer injured in a crash Tuesday morning remains in an East Texas hospital Wednesday.

The Tyler Police Department says officer Jason Seeton, a 21-year veteran with the department, suffered a broken foot, rib and sustained a back injury during the accident.

Seeton was patrolling on his motorcycle on Calloway Road around 8:26 a.m. Tuesday when a maroon truck traveling westbound struck him from behind. That truck was driven by 75-year-old Donald Blevins of Arp. Blevins has been found at fault in the crash and was issued a citation for failure to control speed.
