LINDALE, TX (KLTV) - The second suspect in an early morning attempted ATM theft has been arrested.

The Smith County Sheriff's Office said 25-year-old Winston Barnes was arrested just before 5 p.m. at 506 Ferguson Street in Lindale. An additional suspect, identified as 35-year-old Steven Prior, was taken into custody this morning.

Barnes was wanted for unlawful use of a criminal instrument, theft of property and evading arrest. The sheriff's office say they expect other burglary cases to be cleared because of this investigation.

Around 2:41 a.m. Thursday, deputies received a 911 call from an individual who reported that they were observing two men using what appeared to be a cutting torch on the outdoor ATM at Kelly Community Federal Credit Union. Multiple deputies responded to the call and both men fled. Tyler police were called in to help search the area for the men.

Prior was found hiding behind a building and was arrested.
