Skeletal remains of 59-year-old man found in Van Zandt Co.
VAN ZANDT COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -
Partial human remains were found off of a county road near Wills Point Friday night.
The Van Zandt County Sheriff's Office said skeletal remains were found in several fields off County Road 3529. They are believed to be the remains of 59-year-old John Richard Hannon. Hannon was reported missing in late February.
Throughout Thursday evening, deputies conducted a search of Hannon's property. Authorities located skeletal remains in nearby fields and a partial skull and jaw bone near a neighboring residence.
The remains appeared to be scattered as a result of animals. The sheriff's office transported the remains to the University of North Texas Forensic Center for analysis and positive identification.
