An East Texas furniture store donated 50 extra-long mattresses to the Salvation Army to do with what they will. Ashley Furniture donated a portion of their sales to pay for the mattresses, which will be sold to raise money for the Salvation Army's work in the community.
These are not your normal mattresses; these are TempurPedic mattresses, which is a high-end brand.
"We're really excited that Ashley Furniture supports the Salvation Army and that they did this fund raiser. And in turn, we are able to receive these mattresses which will help us generate funds for our programs and services," said Chantel Millin, Community coordinator of the Salvation Army.
Before you rush down to the Salvation Army Thrift Store you might want to give them a call. They have not yet priced the extra long single-sized mattresses.
