BAXTER COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - A Texarkana man is facing charges in Baxter County for scamming two elderly women.

Police said that in November, a woman reported that her 90-year-old mother was scammed after she paid $8,750 in cash to have an unknown person replace the sensors on her home lighting protection system. No work was ever done on the property.

A second scam was reported on Feb. 24 when neighbors of an 87-year-old woman reported she paid $6,200 to have her property watched over as well as her welfare.  NO work was done on the property.

James Joseph Fisher, 34, was arrested and charged with two counts of Theft of Property.

His court date has been set for March 13.
