NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Deputies with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office arrested a 15-year-old juvenile on a felony arson charge after he allegedly set fire to a mobile home on State Highway 21 East Wednesday morning.

The teen was arrested and charged with second-degree felony arson and third-degree felony on-line impersonation. He or she was transported to the Gregg County Juvenile Detention Center in Longview.

Nacogdoches County Sheriff Jason Bridges said in a press release that when his deputies responded to the house fire at approximately 7 p.m., the house was "fully engulfed" in flames.

After firefighters extinguished the blaze, fire investigators from the City of Nacogdoches were called out to the scene. They confirmed that the fire had been intentionally set.

Later Wednesday morning, NCSO investigators identified a juvenile suspect, and he or she was taken to the sheriff's office for to be interviewed about the fire. According to the press release, investigators obtained other evidence that linked the juvenile to the crime.

During the interview, the juvenile allegedly confessed to setting the house on fire.

The on-line impersonation charge stemmed from an ongoing investigation in which the juvenile was allegedly found to be using text messaging and social media sites to send vulgar messages and claiming those messages were coming from someone else.
