HUNT COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

A Greenville pastor was arrested this week on forgery charges.

Larry Allen Allgood, 61, was taken into custody on two felony warrants. He is most recently associated with Believer's Fellowship of Greenville.

Allgood was relieved of his pastoral duties in March 2013 at Cross Roads Assembly of God in Greenville. An investigation into the sale of church property on Sharon Drive and a parsonage on Ardis Street revealed that some of the documents in the sale had been forged.

Investigators said forging these documents made the sale easier for Allgood to complete.

Allgood was booked into the Hopkins County Detention Center on two counts of forgery. He was later released on $10,000 bond.

According to the Hopkins County District Attorney's Office, the forgery charges against Allgood were dropped in Oct. 2015.
