Here are some stories for you to peruse this afternoon:

1. Authorities have identified the woman accused of shooting and killing her 76-year-old husband, Jerry Barker, on Wednesday in Cherokee County. Rebecca Barker has been charged with first degree murder and is being held on $500,000 bail. This is not the first time Rebecca Barker has faced charges for shooting a husband. Read more here.

2. Sarah Haslam, one of three suspects in the murder of 27-year-old Ronnie Joe Gammage, pleaded guilty to capital murder and was sentenced to life in prison without parole on Thursday morning.On February 4, District Attorney Billy Byrd announced that Haslam would face the death penalty if she went to trial. Haslam, 21, was charged with capital murder and aggravated kidnapping after Gammage's charred body was found in a wooded area near Highway 259 North in Upshur County.

3. A Bowie County couple is set to make history at a Dallas, Texas hospital with a very special delivery.Michelle Seals of Maud is expecting quintuplets. That's 5 babies, with 50 tiny fingers and 50 tiny toes. Watching a sonogram with her husband Steven, they marvel as they spot the recognizable shapes of these 5 tiny lives growing in her womb.

4. Strong storms are possible for East Texas soon, Chief Meteorologist Mark Scirto says. On Sunday, March 3, a moderately strong cold front is expected to pass through during the late morning or early afternoon hours. With this front, there is a chance for showers and isolated strong to severe thunderstorms.

5. Two burglars have been arrested in Caddo Parish after their getaway car got stuck in the mud. John Patterson, 49, and Michael Anderson, 61, loaded their car with furniture and electronics from a thrift store, Caddo Parish Sheriff's officials say. However, when they tried to leave, their vehicle was stuck, and they were later identified by officers by their muddy shoes and flashlights.

6. More information has been released today pertaining to the case of Adrian Mata, who is accused of killing his wife, Jennifer. On Thursday, KLTV obtained a search warrant detailing items taken from the couple's home, including 7 spent cartridges, ammo, firearms, and more.
