TISD And TEA Working To Modify Desegregation Order

Will John Tyler students be allowed to transfer to Robert E. Lee?
It's an issue TISD an the TEA are working on, after the school failed to meet federal standards of the No Child Left Behind Act.
The problem: transferring students conflicts with a federal desegregation order. Monday letters were mailed to JT students' parents. The school district informed parents they are trying to modify the desegregation order to allow the transfer. The district says the paperwork is being prepared.
