All Saints boys basketball is headed to the TAPPS State Tournament for just the second time in school history.
To reach the final four, the Trojans had to take down a team that hadn't beat in the last two years. The Trojans knocked off district rival Grace on Saturday, to punch their ticket to state.
"The feeling is unbelievable," said All Saints senior Brad Luzietti. "It's almost surreal to be able to beat Grace to go to state. Four years ago I wasn't even at All Saints and if you had told me that I was going to state with an All Saints team my senior year I'd have said you were crazy."
All Saints will play another district rival in the state semifinals. The Trojans face Trinity Christian Cedar Hill Friday night in Mansfield. There are sure to be nerves come game time.
"I think everyone will have butterflies in their stomach," said All Saints junior Matt Brunson. "You just have to mentally prepare and I think that's what all the hard work does is to prepare you for the biggest games in your life and high school career."
