BRYAN, TX (KLTV) - An East Texas native and Texas A&M defensive lineman was arrested Saturday night on a marijuana charge.

Isaiah Golden, 19, was taken into custody at a Bryan apartment complex for possession of marijuana. Details of his arrest were not immediately available.

Aggie athletic spokesman Alan Cannon tells The Eagle of Bryan-College Station he wasn't aware of the arrest but says it is school policy to immediately suspend a student-athlete after an arrest pending further investigation.

According to ESPN, Golden graduated from Carthage High School in 2013. He started six of the 11 games he played last season.

If convicted, Golden faces up to 180 days in jail and a fine up to $2,000.
