Early morning accident sends two to the hospital and temporarily knocks out power to area homes

JACKSONVILLE, TX (KLTV) -

Two people are recovering from injuries sustained in an early morning wreck in Jacksonville and power has been restored after it was temporarily knocked out.

Jacksonville Police tells us that early Sunday morning a truck traveling northbound on N. Bolton street with two people in it crashed into a power pole. The wreck temporarily knocked out power to buildings and homes in the area for around an hour. The wreck also sent the driver and the passenger to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown, but police tell us that the two were responsive at the scene.

Jacksonville Police also tell us that alcohol is suspected and that charges are pending.

Crews have since restored power to the area.
