Posted: Updated:

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Police in Clarksville issued citations to a man found waiting behind a library with guns, knives, chemical protection suits and nerve agent antidote kits.

Clarksville Police say an officer spotted a man sitting in a parked car behind the Montgomery County Library and stopped to check on him, The Leaf-Chronicle reports (leafne.ws/MNXlY2).

Police say 26-year-old Daniel Joseph Slusher, of Clarksville, was dressed in black with a tactical vest when the officer approached him Thursday night. He said he was trying to get a job and was waiting for someone to meet him.

The officer found six knives, two collapsible batons and a .45 caliber handgun. There was a revolver under the seat.

The officer cited Slusher for unlawful carrying of weapons and prohibited weapons, but he was not arrested.
