KILGORE, TX (KLTV) -

A benefit for the Kilgore woman killed in a Tuesday shooting will be held Saturday, February 22.

Friends of 32-year-old Elizabeth Ann Vinson will hold a benefit for her at Kilgore Park from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday. Funds collected during this benefit will go towards her funeral expenses.

Kilgore City Park is located on E. North Street.

On Tuesday, Elizabeth was shot multiple times in a vehicle outside a residence at 1922 Highway 31 near Kilgore. Police say 37-year-old Randy Ray Vinson, Elizabeth's brother-in-law, was armed and waiting for her at the home when she pulled up in the vehicle.

When officers arrived, Randy, armed with a rifle, was on the bridge over Rabbit Creek. He refused to respond to officers' commands, and a standoff began. When Randy fired his weapon, he was shot and killed by officers from the Kilgore Police Department and the Gregg County Sheriff's Department.
