CINCINNATI (FOX19/CNN) -

When it comes to "non-traditional grocery stores," Target is at the top of the list, according to a new study by retail design firm King Retail Solutions and the University of Arizona.

It found that 77 percent of Americans bought food for the week at least once last year from a non-traditional store. And that means supermarkets like Kroger and Meijer have new competition.

Walmart came in second on the list of most popular non-traditional grocery stores, followed by Walgreens, CVS, and Costco. Here's a look at the full list:

  1. Target
  2. Walmart
  3. Walgreens
  4. CVS
  5. Costco
  6. Farmers markets/Food stalls
  7. Dollar Tree
  8. 7-Eleven
  9. K-Mart
  10. Sam's Club
  11. Rite Aid
