Good afternoon, everyone!

Here are some stories of interest for you to check out this afternoon:

1. The Wood County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help locating missing 77-year-old Robert Searer. Searer was last seen wearing a light colored shirt and brown khaki pants. He is 5'9" tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds. He has gray hair and wears glasses. He was last seen in Hawkins in a gray 1998 Dodge pick-up with Texas license plate number BN4-5243. Please call 903-763-2201 if you believe you've seen Searer. (No picture available as yet, but we will update as soon as one is released.)

2. During a child custody hearing for the young daughter of a Zavalla couple killed in a double homicide in January, the deceased husband's attorney said in court, "The 'murderers are in this room.'" The man, Nathan Bradley Maddox, and his wife, Krystal, were killed outside a church in Tyler County. Both sets of grandparents are battling for custody. The complete story is located here.

3. A 42-year-old Mexican national illegally residing in Marshall, Texas, was sentenced to over 18 years in federal prison for drug trafficking violations today.  The man was accused of manufacturing and distributing meth and cocaine.

4. A couple who believed in faith-healing were sentenced Wednesday to 3½ to seven years in prison in the death of a second child who never saw a doctor despite being stricken with pneumonia. Herbert and Catherine Schaible defied a court order to get medical care for their children after their 2-year-old son, Kent, died in 2009. Instead, they tried to comfort and pray over 8-month-old Brandon last year as he, too, died of treatable pneumonia.

5. Your week in music: Information about Bonnaroo, new album releases, David Crosby's hospital stay, and new artist ZZ Ward, and lots more in the world of music, found here.

6. A dive team is searching in Lake Tawakoni for weapons possibly used in the killings of the Kaufman County DA and his wife, as well as the Assistant DA in 2013. Details here.

Eric and Kim Williams are in prison, charged with capital murder in the case.

7. A humane society in Michigan had a different breed of mammal in their doghouses last night - humans! They were out to make a point about how animals in cold weather are endangered by being left outside in freezing weather.
