Boil Water Notice lifted for Bullard area

Posted: Updated:

UPDATE: The boil water notice has been lifted as of Saturday afternoon.

From the City of Bullard:

BULLARD, TX - Due to a waterline break, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required our water system in the City of Bullard to notify customers of the need to boil their water prior to consumption.

The boil water notice affects the Pecan Park, Pecan Valley and Polana Springs subdivisions.

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking and making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to use. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. You may also purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.

When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, water system official will notify you that water is safe for consumption.
