FRANKLIN, OH (FOX19) -

A 17-year-old has turned himself into police following a hit-and-run in Franklin.

The unnamed teen presented himself to authorities on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, 72-year-old Gerald Retherford was crossing 4th Street near the Franklin High School when he was struck by a westbound vehicle that left the scene.

Officers say the teen was driving a white GM style vehicle. Police say the vehicle had significant damage to the driver's side mirror and possible front end damage from the crash.
