It was a nice morning in Tyler today to go for a walk. And that's exactly what some dog owners and their pooches did.
The Humane Society of Smith County held its very first 1-mile Happy Tails Fun Walk at Rose Rudman Park. The Humane Society hopes to make it an annual event to raise money for its Spay & Neuter Clinic.
Some pet owners and their pets are already regulars at the park.
"We walk here every morning," Helen Letcher, a dog owner, said. "And I got molly at the Humane Society in 1996. And of course, my heart is with the Humane Society. And I wouldn't have missed it."
