Good afternoon, everyone. I hope you're holding up well in this gray, wintry weather.

1. Well, here we are again looking at cold, rainy weather! Another winter storm is slipping into East Texas now.  Please watch out for slick spots on the roads, bridges and overpasses. Make sure to watch East Texas News at 4, 5 and 6 tonight to get the latest updates from Chief Meteorologist Mark Scirto.

2. Due to this storm, we are receiving numerous calls and emails from schools and other organizations which are cancelling or postponing events tonight and/or tomorrow. You can see that list of cancellations here.

3. Here's a list of tips for keeping your pets safe during this cold, nasty weather. Please read them over and make sure your animals are protected.

4. The Better Business Bureau has made its list; have you been affected by any of these? List: 'Top Ten Scams of 2013'

5. Attention people of New York: Stop using your lasers. Also, why do you have lasers?

The FBI New York Field Office announced a program would be offering rewards of up to $10,000 for help identifying people who aim the devices at aircrafts.

6. As children, the highlight of our February social season was exchanging those tiny cardboard Valentine's Day cards with our classmates. But for some kids, Valentine's Day will be a holiday spent in the hospital. You can send a kid in Texas Children's Hospital a Valentine online, and it's free to do so!

7. The Gregg County Sheriff's Office has released new facial reconstruction photos of a woman whose body was found in 2006. An initial reconstruction of Jane Doe was released shortly after her body was discovered in October 2006. On October 2, 2013, her body was exhumed and her skull was used for another reconstruction using new 3D technology. Read more here, and see the recreation pics here.

We hope you'll watch us live at 4, 5 and 6 on KLTV or on KLTV.com if you're not near your tv today. We don't want you to miss out on the news and weather that you need to know!

We'll see you soon,

Stephanie Frazier
