Mount Healthy standoff suspect refuses to get dressed, court date postponed

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A Mount Healthy man, who authorities say caused a five-hour police standoff Monday, had his arraignment postponed Tuesday in Hamilton County Municipal Court.

Brad Portman, 55, refused to get dressed at the Hamilton County Justice Center where is being held on an inducing panic charge, a fifth degree felony.

The hearing will instead happen at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Portman barricaded himself at his apartment on Clovernook Avenue, threatened to harm law enforcement and himself and caused an apartment building to be evacuated, according to court documents.

The incident happened from about 10:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday at the Compton Grove apartment complex at Clovernook Avenue and Compton Road.
