Jungle Jim's International Market presents the Big Cheese Festival on Saturday, February 8th, at the Oscar Event Center in Fairfield.
This sold out event will be offer a large selection of cheeses out for cheese lovers to come and try. This will be an event dedicated almost entirely to cheese and lots of it!
Guests can try cheese from some of the world's finest producers as well as plenty of America's greatest cheeses. American artisanal cheese is a world unto itself.
While cheese is the superstar of this event, it will also be accompanied by world-class charcuterie.
There will also be beer and wine pairings to enhance and complement the cheese, available for an additional charge.
Guests can travel the world as they sample a variety of cheeses from different countries. Jungle Jim's will have over 50 booths, laid out by region, so guests can discover new cheeses, as well as many other food and drink pairings.
Guinness World Records recognized cheese carver, Sarah Kaufmann, will be working her magic on a block of cheese to turn it into an amazing creation to commemorate the event.
Guests can also meet Jason Sobocinski, the host of The Big Cheese on the Food Network. He'll be armed with his knowledge of all things cheesy, sharing deliciously simple recipes during how-to sessions in the Jungle Jim's cooking school.
There will be cheese related activities for the whole family, including a chance to vote for some of your favorites.
The event will take place at the Oscar Event Center from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. today. The event is sold out.
