Happy Friday! Are you seeing any snow or sleet? We just had some snow downtown in Tyler. It's rather pretty, don't you think? Just stay warm, and drive safely!

Here are some stories for you to peruse this afternoon:

3. Authorities suspended a door-to-door search for a robbery suspect in Lindale on Friday afternoon after they believe the man was able to get out of the search perimeter. Police are looking for a man who hopped into a store manager's truck as he was about to make a bank drop. The man said the suspect tried to flag him down and when he didn't stop, the suspect hopped into his truck. The suspect then attempted to take the man's money bag, a struggle ensued and the suspect displayed a gun before fleeing the scene with the deposit bag. Lindale schools went on lockdown until dismissal, just as a precaution.

4. Sadly, Caldwell Zoo announced that one of their "grand old ladies," a mountain lion named Sierra, has died. She was 22.

5. Authorities have locked down the White House and detained a suspect carrying two bags who tried to jump the fence on Friday.A Secret Service official told NBC News the bags the person was carrying were "suspicious," however, their initial screening of the bags did not indicate they contained anything dangerous.

6. Turkish security forces on Friday detained a Ukrainian plane passenger suspected of making a bomb threat in an attempt to hijack a flight to Sochi, Russia, where the Winter Olympics were opening under tight security.

7. The Army's Criminal Investigation Command is warning about a new website scam in which criminals are attempting to take advantage of soldiers and their families.The "My Army Benefits" website is not an official website, officials said, and is neither affiliated with nor endorsed in any way by the United States Army.

    An East Texas boy scout has achieved his goal of raising enough money to purchase 31 bullet proof vests in 31 days. 13 year old Jaxon Holland was raising the funds for his Eagle Scout project and surpassed his goal. Holland raised $18,000 which will cover 34 vests plus accessories. The vests will be donated to the Wood County Sheriff’s office.
