LINDALE, TX (KLTV) - Multiple crews worked together to extinguish a fire that left one injured Friday morning in Smith County.

Crews responded to a mobile home fire on Wood Springs Rd. near the intersection of County Road 472 in Lindale. Five to eight fire units responded to the blaze, which began around 10 a.m.

Officials say the mobile home has been deemed a total loss. A car parked near the home was also burned.

A man who was asleep inside the home when the fire started said he woke up, saw smoke and attempted to jump out of a window. He ran to a neighbor's house, who then dialed 911. The man was taken to the hospital for an injury to his leg he received while fleeing the fire. He has since been released.

Lindale and Dixie Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the fire.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
