KILGORE, TX (KLTV) -

Kilgore police are currently searching for two masked suspects involved in an armed robbery that happened at 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning.

Police say they responded to a reported robbery at Xino Converters located at 300 Harris Street in Kilgore. Upon arrival, an employee at the recycling business told officers that one masked man pointed a handgun at him, while another tied him up.

The two suspects then fled the scene by stealing the employee's vehicle, a tan 2004 Chevrolet Z71 with a black ranch hand bumper. The vehicle's license plate number is Texas plate number BC89518. The truck reportedly has damage to the right side. No further description of the two suspects is available at this time.

In a "Be On the Look Out" alert broadcast shortly after the robbery occurred, it was reported that the two men stole two AR-15s that were in the truck. Kilgore police would not confirm this information with KLTV.

The store employee was uninjured.

Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to contact Detective Tim Dukes with the Kilgore Police Department at 903-983-1559. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 903-236-STOP.

Kilgore Independent School District campuses are not on lockdown at this time, according to Assistant Superintendent Dennis Williams. Although no lockdown has been enacted at this time, all campuses are on "increased awareness". School officials are keeping close watch and are in constant contact with Kilgore PD.
