They see it as a civic duty to help the handicapped get out and vote. Medicab takes wheelchair bound patients usually to the doctor, grocery store or even church. But during early voting and on election day, it's offering to take the disabled to their respective polls to vote. The service is absolutely free of charge. "We thought that if they need assistance getting to the hospital and getting to the grocery store, this is just one other area they need assistance that they wouldn't get," says president of Medicab David Archer.
This service is for wheelchair bound patients only. If you have no way of getting to the polls to vote, call Medicab at (903) 592-3232. Again, the service is free.
