Local photographers who captured images of the February 10 EF-4 Tornado that struck the Pine Belt are pooling their visual talents to help those who are still in need of disaster relief.
The local exhibit is called Twenty-One Miles in Thirty-Three Minutes and will be showcased at The Carter Building on Front Street in Historic Downtown Hattiesburg. The accompanying reception will be from 7 pm – 10 pm. The exhibit itself will last from February 10-15.
Presented by Hub City Lofts and The Hattiesburg Arts Council, the exhibit will feature the collective works of professional photojournalists, student and civilian photojournalists, and emerging media. The cast of exhibitors will include:

Brownstone's Restaurant will provide a cash bar for the event and Miss Leaf River Valley Dalee Kimble will help host.
"What an opportunity to witness the therapeutic power of the arts," says Rebekah Johnson, Executive Director of The Hattiesburg Arts Council. "We are delighted to partner with Hub City Lofts in making this community event showcase happen."
Event organizer Anna Truitt Bush adds, "The Pine Belt is pretty resilient. Our community will gather strength and resolve from our misfortunes. Hub City Lofts recognizes that in times of need, we stand as one."
Patrons to the exhibit will have an opportunity to aid in tornado relief fundraising for disaster victims by donating money to R3SM. A collections box will be available at the exhibit for donations.
