Pet vaccination clinic offers low cost vaccines Saturday
JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Northeast Arkansans for Animals and the Jonesboro Animal Control teamed up Saturday to offer a low-cost vaccination clinic.
The turnout was so large the line stretched out the doors as pet owners came to get low cost vaccinations and exams for their pets.
Doctor Jack Jones said these clinics provide basic health needs for pets that may not be able to go to a veterinarian regularly.
It has only been a month into the New Year and there have already been 11 confirmed cases of rabies in the state.
"There are other things like diseases that are endemic, distemper and hepatitis and leptospirosis, and a number of things that are very prevalent in the community and they need some protection," said Dr. Jones.
The rabies shots were offered for $7 and the 5-in-1 shot was offered for $10.
