MINEOLA, TX (KLTV) -

Highway 80 eastbound in Mineola was shut down because of two early morning structure fires on Friday.

According to authorities, the fire broke out around 4 a.m., in a brick house on Highway 80 at Private Road 6645, and quickly moved to a nearby mobile home. Mineola, Haynesville, Lindale and Quitman Fire Departments responded on the scene.

Eastbound traffic on Highway 80 was temporarily shut down for fire equipment and vehicles. Tx-Dot is on the scene, diverting eastbound traffic on Highway 80 east of Loop 564 into the westbound lane until after scene, then back into the eastbound lanes.

The brick home is a complete loss and vehicles in the yard were destroyed. However, all four residents of the home made it out safely.

The fire quickly spread to a nearby mobile home, where a family of eight lived, including three children. All members made it out of the home unharmed. The mobile home is mostly gutted with only the frame left standing. The father in the mobile home said he woke up to go to the restroom, saw the fire and got everyone out of the house.

Authorities say crews will be on the scene well into the morning. Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire, but say it will take 24 hours to really begin to take a deep look.
