7 from 7: Stories for your Thursday

Hello there! We hope you're having a wonderful Thursday.

Here are some stories for you to check out this afternoon:

1. An appeals court in Florence has upheld the guilty verdict against U.S. student Amanda Knox and her ex-boyfriend for the 2007 murder of her British roommate. Knox was sentenced to 28 1/2 years in prison, raising the specter of a long legal battle over her extradition. After nearly 12 hours of deliberations Thursday, the court reinstated the guilty verdict first handed down against Knox and Raffaele Sollecito in 2009. The verdict had been overturned in 2011.

2. Authorities are working to identify two male suspects responsible for stealing tractors from an East Texas business.  The Alba Police Department said two new Kubota M7060 tractors with front end loaders were taken from Alba Tractor on Highway 69 Tuesday night. Around 8:30 p.m., surveillance video shows the men cutting the lock off of the dealership's gate, entering the property and loading one tractor onto a trailer. They drive off, only to return just hours later to steal an identical tractor. If you know anything that might be helpful in capturing the thieves, please call 903-763-CASH.

3. Traffic tip: Kilgore Independent School District buses may be delayed due to an overturned 18-wheeler on Highway 259. Kilgore ISD officials were notified of an accident near Woodlawn Street Thursday afternoon. All bus drivers have been notified about the accident and are taking alternate routes.

4. A serious mistake on an East Texas construction project means several more months of traffic delays. Construction on The Loop project in Mount Pleasant started in 2012.

The first segment is finished. Segments two and three are well on their way to being complete, but a recent discovery shows someone miscalculated the height requirement on one of the project's overpasses.

The mistake could cost Titus County nearly $2 million.

5. The iconic image of the Budweiser Clydesdales have pulled on many Super Bowl viewers' heart stings for years, and now the company has added another animal to the mix. Check it out here.
