ATHENS, GA (RNN) - The Georgia Bulldogs fell to the Vanderbilt Commodores 59-54 Wednesday night, ending their eight-game home winning streak at Stegeman Coliseum.

The Bulldogs (10-9, 4-3 SEC) have lost three of their last five games after going 2-0 to begin conference play. The Vanderbilt Commodores (11-8, 3-4 SEC) have won its last two road games.

The Bulldogs attempted a second half comeback and pulled within six points with the help of Kenny Paul Geno's two field goals at the end of the game, but it was not enough.

Three Commodores scored in double digits, including 16 points and 12 rebounds by forward Rod Odom. Vanderbilt shot 65.6 percent from the foul line but just 38.5 percent from the floor and 44.4 percent from 3-point range.

Guard Charles Mann scored 20 points for the Bulldogs and made nine of his 11 free throw shots. The Bulldogs made 74.1 percent of their foul shots but were dismal from 3-point and field goal range (17.4 percent and 27.3 percent, respectively).

Georgia will travel to Auburn for a 1:30 p.m. ET tipoff on Saturday. Vanderbilt will return home to host the Mississippi State Bulldogs for a 5:30 p.m. ET tipoff on Saturday.
