GREGG COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

A routine traffic stop landed a wanted fugitive in jail.

Gregg County Sheriff's deputies stopped a vehicle driven by 56-year-old Patrick David Bonney of Longview Monday. During the stop, Bonney was found to have someone else's wallet and identification on him.

Bonney was charged with theft in the amount of over $1,500 and less than $20,000. He was also arrested for failing to identify as a fugitive.

Warrants had previously been issued for Bonney's arrest in Eastland County near Abilene. He was wanted on several theft and burglary charges.

Bonney was taken to the Gregg County Jail where he remains on over $23,000 bond.
