PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) -  Twenty-two-year-old Sarah Hurst was killed in a car crash on Highway 49 in Paragould on January 18, stunning her family and friends.

After her death, everyone who knew her was left to pick up the pieces. "When I heard the news, it was like the world stop," Amie Cole, Hurst's former dance team coach said.

Cole said she loved dance and had a great personality, that's why the dance team members and her former teammates wanted to establish something in her honor. "We thought, what better way to remember her than giving someone else the chance to chase something they loved like she was doing," said Cole.

The scholarship will be given out to a senior dance team member and will be awarded for the first time in May of this year.

Cole said there will be several events this year to raise money for the fund.

Anyone who would like to donate to the cause can contact the Greene County Tech High School office at (870) 215-4460.
