***Winter Weather Advisory issued for Jasper, Newton, and Tyler counties from 6 p.m. Thursday evening through noon Friday. Possibility of up to a 1" inch of snow Thursday night.***

***Hard Freeze Warning for northeast sections of East Texas from Tyler to Marshall, northward from midnight until 9 a.m. Friday. Temperatures nearing 20 degrees overnight.***

***Winter Storm Warning from 9 p.m. Thursday night, until noon Friday for Houston, Trinity and Polk Counties. 1/2" to 1" of sleet and snow mixed is possible in these areas.***

Well, the cold air continues to move in and the moisture is here as well. Now let the wintry mix continue. Sleet and a few flurries have already been indicated here in East Texas, along with some very cold rain. As we progress throughout the rest of the day Thursday, the moisture moves southward and so does the cold air. Sleet, mixed with flurries is likely Thursday afternoon/evening, mainly south of I-20. Near I-20, the accumulations are expected to be near 0. However, the farther you move south, the higher the amounts should be. In the Lufkin/Nacogdoches areas, snowfall amounts could near 2" in a few spots, but most should be near 1".

Friday morning, most of the moisture should be well to the south with only a few flurries possible over DEEP EAST TEXAS. The sun should begin to shine during the morning over northern counties, and then spread southward throughout the day.

The weekend is still looking good. ENJOY!!!!
