How you can help firefighter Joe Yeakley

From the Lindale Chamber of Commerce:

We are asking Lindale Businesses to change their signs to so support for firefighter Joe Yeakley and the Lindale firefighters. We also encourage businesses to create signs to line Highway 69 to show support.

Yeakley remains in critical condition at Parkland Medical in Dallas after receiving burns to his face and hands this morning after a partial roof collapse. Yeakley is a 14 year veteran with Lindale Fire Department with nearly 30 years in the fire service.

Blood donations can be made in honor of Joe Yeakley at Carter Blood Center anytime anytime, and their Mobile Unit will be at Brookshire's in Lindale, Saturday, January 18, 2014 from 11am – 4pm.

Lindale Fire Department is asking that you all continue the prayers for FF Yeakley and his family.

Well today was the perfect day to do it, because two East Texas teams paired up with local Dairy Queens to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network.  Serving guest at the drive-thru and enjoying some ice-cream themselves, John Tyler Lions and Tyler Lee Red Raiders football took part in Miracle Treat Day.  A five dollar donation was worth a small blizzard.
