Mother of girl last seen with robbery suspect begs her to return home

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

An East Texas man is behind bars, accused of a series of armed robberies, but police say their investigation is far from over.

Thursday night, 35-year-old Adam Heath Bowers was arrested in Smith County. Bowers is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. After a manhunt just north of Tyler, police took Bowers into custody.  He's now being held at the Smith County jail on a $1.15 million bond.

Police say two people, Henry Marshall and Kelly Edwards, were with Bowers when he allegedly robbed a Lindale Walmart. Police say they are not actively seeking their arrests, but they do want to talk to them about the crimes Bowers is accused of committing. However, there is someone who is actively looking for Kelly, and that's her mother, who is begging her to come home.

Kelly's mother says she's very concerned because she had never heard of Bowers until she learned that he was one of the last people that her daughter was seen with. Kelly's mother says she hasn't heard from her in four days. She says she can't reach her by phone, and Kelly's friends say they haven't heard from her either.

Lindale Police say they do not have warrants out for Edwards or Marshall's arrest, but they do want to talk to them about what happened the last couple of days.
Bowers is accused of stealing from a Walmart, using a gun to rob a Family Dollar Store, and firing a weapon at someone in northern Smith County.
