7 from 7: Stories for your Thursday

Hello, and happy Thursday to you!

Here are a few stories for you to peruse this afternoon:

1. Breaking: On Wednesday, the suspect from a hit-and-run accident that killed 33-year-old Tabitha Lynn Herriage Rodriguez contacted Longview police. The hit and run occurred on December 21, 2013.

2. Russell Johnson, the actor well known for playing the Professor in Gilligan's Island has died at 89. Johnson's wife, Constance, confirmed to ABC News that the TV star died early Thursday morning of kidney failure.

3. One of the largest-known drug stashes in Titus County history was found inside a pickle jar Tuesday.  Damon Markee Holloman, 30, of Mt. Pleasant was arrested Tuesday for possession of a controlled substance greater than 400 grams in a drug free zone. The arrest was made during one of the biggest known drug busts in Titus County history.

4.  On Thursday, DWI arrest numbers for 2013 for Gregg County were released. You can see the numbers here.

5. Here's your list of East Texas entertainment for this weekend! Lots of live music, a chili cookoff, standup comedy, and more.

6. A video that was originally uploaded to YouTube in May 2013 (almost ancient, as the interwebs go) is close to reaching 10 million views, so we thought we'd dust it off for your Throwback Thursday. YouTube user Robert Jones created the "We Can Dance - Hollywood Movie Dance Tribute," which is exactly what its name implies: a mashup of 77 memorable (and not so memorable) dance scenes from movies. Jones set his video to the Man Without Hats hit, "The Safety Dance." Check it out here.

7. A 23-year-old Texarkana man is in jail after police say he solicited who he believed was a 15-year-old girl online.
Bowie County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Jeffrey Neal says Noble Solomon May had been communicating with an undercover officer online. Read what happened here.
