Coach Williams done at MRA

MADISON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

After 3 seasons and 3 straight trips to the playoffs, MRA football coach Forrest Williams is stepping down. Thursday afternoon Coach Williams sent FOX40/WLBT this message.

"I'll be resigning at MRA. I'm pursuing another opportunity and need to let MRA have the best opportunity to hire a coach. I've had a great three years here with some great players and coaches."

In his time leading the Patriots, Williams compiled a 24-14 record. Before coaching at MRA, he led the St. Stanislaus program and won a 4A title in 2009.
