A mother and daughter accused of tax fraud got opposite verdicts Tuesday night from the jury in Albany Federal Court.
Gloria Gordon of Ashburn was acquitted on the three counts she wascharged with, and her daughter, Kimberly Banks of Cordele, wasconvicted on all counts.
They were both charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States, wire fraud, and aggravated identity theft. Prosecutors say they used other people's names to file false tax returns in 2011 and 2012.
The U. S. Attorney's Office will provide more information later today on the case.
