Mt. Vernon Police searching for two involved in forging checks

The Northeast Texas Area Crime Stoppers and the Mt. Vernon Police Department need your help with this week's Crime of the Week. On December 18, 2013, two (2) black females entered the Brookshire's in Mt. Vernon, TX and passed a forged payroll check from a local business. Information later obtained from Brookshire's Corporate Office shows that the same two (2) black females are believed to have passed similar checks in Tyler, Gladewater, Overton, Marshall, Quitman and Commerce.

The Northeast Texas Area Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving this crime. Remember, all we want is your information, not your name. If your information leads to the arrest and/or the recovery of the stolen property on this or any other felony crime, you could receive a CASH REWARD of up to $1000.00.
