TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

One person was shot Friday night at Rose Valley Apartment Homes off of N Northwest Loop 323 in Tyler.

Tyler police say Armis Barnes, 25, of Tyler was taken to East Texas Medical Center on  Friday night with non-life-threatening injuries, where she underwent surgery. Police say she was shot in the face at the apartment complex.

Major Crimes Investigators and a CSI team were notified and responded to the scene while patrol officers detained and identified several other individuals found inside the apartment.

Following an investigation, an arrest warrant for Ke'Avier Jarrod Wilson-Hurd, 20, was issued and he was taken into custody. Wilson-Hurd was transported to the Smith County Jail where he was booked in for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on a $500,000 bond.
