WOOD COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Jared Michael Williams, 26, of Hawkins was arrested Friday morning on one charge of cruelty to non-livestock animals/torture.

Williams and 20-year-old Johnny Joe Munoz, also of Hawkins, were both arrested for their involvement in an incident that occurred Tuesday in Wood County. Munoz was arrested on animal cruelty charges Wednesday and a warrant was issued for Williams.

According to the Wood County Sheriff's Office, a deputy was dispatched to Holly Lake Ranch Tuesday in reference to an aggressive dog complaint. Deputy David Hitt and Sergeant Jacob Richardson investigated the complaint, which led to animal cruelty charges being filed against Munoz and Williams.

Williams was taken to the Wood County Jail. His bond has been set at $10,000. Munoz was released from jail on $10,000 bond Friday morning.
