Classes canceled at Como-Pickton schools because of water main break

Posted: Updated:
HOPKINS COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

Como-Pickton CISD has canceled classes for Thursday due to a water main break. According to the schools Facebook page, they will resume classes on Friday.

A boil water notice has also been issued for the city of Como, Thursday because of a drop in water pressure.

The notice is expected to remain in effect until at least tomorrow morning, or until lab results on the water quality are received.

Residents should boil water for drinking, cooking and ice making for at least two minutes to destroy harmful bacteria.
