WOOD COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Johnny Joe Munoz, 20, of Hawkins was arrested Wednesday on felony animal cruelty charges. Jared Michael Williams, 26, of Hawkins is still at large and a warrant for his arrest has been issued.

According to the Wood County Sheriff's Office, a deputy was dispatched to Holly Lake Ranch Tuesday in reference to an aggressive dog complaint. Deputy David Hitt and Sergeant Jacob Richardson investigated the complaint, which led to animal cruelty charges being filed against Munoz and Williams.

Munoz was booked into the Wood County Jail on Wednesday. His bond has been set at $10,000.

An outstanding warrant for felony animal cruelty remains for Williams. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact the Wood County Sheriff's Office at 903-763-2201.
