GREGG COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Longview Fire Department crews responded to three separate calls on Tuesday afternoon within an hour.

Longview Fire Marshal Johnny Zackary said firefighters were dispatched to the 3000 block of Farm to Market Road 2087 after reports of hay bales on fire. A rancher using a cutting torch accidentally ignited grass which in turn set the hay on fire. The value of the hay is more than $1,000. The fire is under control, but crews remained on scene to make sure the fire didn't rekindle.

A crew also responded to a mobile home fire in the Comfort Lake Village mobile home park in the 600 block of Jordan Valley Road. A fire in a 30-foot trailer was started by a space heater. No one was injured, but one occupant was displaced.

The third call came from the Walmart on Estes Parkway when a heater emitted black smoke. There were no injuries or business disruption.
