A nation-wide survey of Hospital Pharmacy Directors shows some vendors are selling vaccines at up to 10 times their normal price.
North East Texas Public Health District Director, Nick Sciarinni says, because of the national shortage, this year the base price of the vaccine is up and knowing the facts could keep your wallet safe.
"This year the Medicade/Medicare Reimburse price is $17.24. $17.24, I would say is a base price on up to about $25. That would not be an unreasonable price for a flu shot," says Sciarinni.
